NYC 747 panic

Most folks have heard by now of the 747 from the Air Force One fleet that flew low over NYC this week for a staged photo op with an F-16.  Not very smart.  This was the reaction on the ground from some New Yorkers.  Skittish or justified?  You decide.

If you absolutely feel the need to join your friends in setting fire to an abandoned building, you probably shouldn’t post a video of your shenanigans on YouTube.  But if you do decide to record the dastardly deed, it’s pretty dumb to include your name and the names of the other perps in the video credits.

If you’re going to go to all the trouble to create a dummy passenger so you can drive in the HOV lane, at least have the sense to strap it in with a seat belt to avoid undue suspicion by the cops.

A bridge too low

I’m not sure whether to blame the city (for not elevating the bridge deck) or the drivers (for not knowing the height of their vehicles and/or for not heeding the low clearance sign). For the number of times it’s been hit at high speed, this bridge is hanging in there.
